The APT consists of parent Board Members who take on responsibility for a specific type of activity or volunteer effort.
Each District 67 school has its own APT Board and President. The individual school APT Boards are coordinated by the APT Executive Board, which is comprised of members from all of the schools.

- Providing timely and accurate information about school and community issues to parents.
- Planning and sponsoring cultural enrichment programs during the school year.
- Assisting with academic and social events within the school.
- Organizing school volunteer efforts among parents.
